Here's an update on the portfolio's performance.
YTD Performance
Passive Portfolio: +8.79%
Vanguard 500 Index: +15.18%

My passive portfolio sees some recovery this month and ends June with a YTD performance of +8.79%. Despite so, the portfolio is still considered underwater for the time being as it has not yet recovered to the highs seen in April. This year is an especially good year for the index so far with +15.18% return YTD for the first half of the year. Given a high valuation of the index compared to the historical values, I'm a bit wary on what the second half of the year will be like.
In terms of the passive portfolio, I'm hoping some of the sectors begin to see more recovery and that should then helps to propel my passive portfolio to beat the index by the end of the year.
Here are the monthly breakdowns.

I will say it's a pretty good month as my passive portfolio beats the index in June. Such outperformance has been dearly missed since January.
Besides the monthly report on the passive portfolio performance, I have also created an actively managed portfolio. You may read more about it here.
Here's the performance of the actively managed portfolio vs the index for the month of June.
Actively Managed Portfolio: +6.43%
Vanguard 500 Index: +2.32%
